#31 - Knotted Physio - Why People Quit Exercise Programs

Hello Everyone and welcome back! As always, a BIG thank you to everyone who takes the time to read our blog. We really do appreciate it!

Have you ever started an exercise program feeling really motivated, only to quit a few weeks later?

If so, don't feel bad. You're not alone!

I think one of the biggest reasons people quit is that they try to do too much, too soon.

We decide we're going to exercise five days a week, completely change our diet, walk every morning, lift weights, and somehow find an extra hour in the day!

Sounds great... until real life gets in the way.

Another big problem is expecting results too quickly. We exercise for a couple of weeks and wonder, "Why don't I feel stronger yet?"

The truth is, getting stronger and healthier takes time.

And here's another one: exercise becomes a chore.

If you hate what you're doing, you're probably not going to stick with it. Exercise doesn't have to mean spending an hour in a gym. Go for a walk. Ride your bike. Work in the yard. Play with the grandkids. Find something you actually enjoy doing.

And don't forget about starting small.

If 30 minutes of exercise sounds impossible, start with 10. Ten minutes is better than nothing. Once that becomes part of your routine, add a little more.

Most importantly, don't think you have failed just because you missed a few days.

Life happens.

You don't have to start completely over. Just get back to it.

I would much rather see someone exercise consistently for 20 minutes three times a week than go crazy for two weeks and then quit.

The goal isn't to find the perfect exercise program.

It's to find something you can keep doing.

Because being healthy isn't about what you do for a few weeks. It's about being able to keep doing the things you enjoy for years to come.

So find something you enjoy, start small, and give yourself some grace.

Well guys, I hope this helps someone stay with it a little longer. As always, thanks for reading and Go enjoy the outdoors!
